Phone Installment in Kampar

UTAR Kampar students walk in with the same problem: dad gives them RM250 a month for the phone, but they want an iPhone. We close it in 15 minutes — 36 months, monthly RM230. This is not an isolated case. During semester, it is almost a fixed scene.

Kampar sits in central Perak, between Ipoh and Tapah, anchored on Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and a handful of smaller polytechnic colleges. Our customers: UTAR students who just got their allowance, restaurant staff around Westlake, traders in old Kampar town, and the kaolin-mining workers still operating on the outskirts.

Main corridors: Kampar Putra Sentral (where students connect to KL by bus), the Westlake commercial belt, and old Kampar town with its traditional kopitiams. Weekdays are students; weekends shift toward local Kampar families. Best sellers: iPhone for students, Samsung Galaxy A for locals. The cleanest cycle we see: the installment finishes around the time they graduate.
