Phone Installment in Kangar

A secondary school teacher from Kangar drops by after her last class — her old Galaxy A30s has finally given up. She asks for 'the same as my A30, but newer.' We point at the A26. 36 months, RM45 a month, she signs and walks out in 20 minutes. That is the typical Kangar customer: they know what works and they do not want a long shopping experience.

Kangar is the capital of Perlis, Malaysia's smallest state. The town itself is compact — Dataran Kangar in the middle, a few shop complexes around it, and not much else. Our customers here are mostly civil servants, teachers, Tuanku Fauziah Hospital staff, and a handful of small traders around the Kangar market.

Main corridors: Dataran Kangar, Kangar Mall, and the shoplots along Jalan Bukit Lagi. Foot traffic is the steadiest we have — never a rush, just a consistent 4 to 7 PM stretch every day. Best sellers: Samsung Galaxy A (especially A26 and A36), Vivo Y series, and the occasional iPhone for a slightly more upmarket trader. The 36-month installment leads — teacher and government wages here are stable but modest, so monthly under RM50 is what fits.
