Phone Installment in Seberang Perai

Seberang Perai is not one town — it is a long belt, the Prai industrial zone in the south, Bukit Mertajam in the middle, all the way up to Kepala Batas. Our installment customers here are mostly factory crews — Bosch, Sony, and Bose in Prai, the electronics plants in Bukit Tengah, plus civil servants from the Seberang Perai district office.

The busiest spots: AEON Bukit Tengah, Sunway Carnival Prai, and the shoplots along Jalan Baru in Bukit Mertajam. Factory customers usually come in right after shift change — 4 PM and 11 PM are the two peaks. We stay open until 10 so the evening shift can drop by before heading back to the quarters.

Top sellers: the Samsung Galaxy A series and Xiaomi Redmi 14, because most customers want 36-month installments with monthly under RM55 — fits a factory wage of RM2,000 to RM2,800. The difference from KL: buyers here always add a screen protector and case in the same visit, because the phone has to survive a rougher factory floor, not an air-conditioned office.
