Phone Installment in Dungun

Dungun lies in southern Terengganu, between Kuala Terengganu to the north and Kerteh to the south — close enough to the Kerteh petrochemical complex that many of our customers tie back to the oil and gas industry. Our installment customers: Petronas Kerteh and Kemaman contract workers, Petronas Penapisan Terengganu staff, Dungun fishermen, and government workers at the district office.

Main corridors: Dungun town, the Bandar Al-Muktafi Billah Shah area, and the access road into Kerteh for industry customers. Industry customers usually come in during shift rotations and often take longer installments because their contracts run 2 to 3 years. Fishermen customers come in by catch season.

Best sellers: iPhone for the higher-paid Kerteh crew (averaging RM5,000 to RM8,000), Samsung Galaxy A for families, and Vivo Y for fishermen and junior government staff. The 24-month installment is most popular for industry workers (lining up with the contract), 36 months for others. One pattern we see: Petronas workers near the end of a contract usually pay the installment off early so they do not carry a balance into a new posting.
